Art and online presence

In my pursuit to develop my business as a professional artist I have taken on wholeheartedly the task of creating a professional and consistent online presence. How time consuming is this??!!! I know it is necessary in this day and age but I feel like it is consuming all my time and leaving no time left for the good stuff.
I have created a website with my own domain name, I have set up a mail chimp account trying to work out how to attach this to my website, I have updated my blog so all my names are consistent across all of my social media accounts, I have linked my accounts for ease of posting but man this has taken such a long time!!!
I am hoping I am now at the easy end where I can just update things as I go but it scares me how much time this actually takes. I am hoping it will be worth it and I will get better and quicker and more efficient at creating updated information for people to see and in turn will generate more interest in what I do and sales in return. I hope I will be seen as the professional and hardworking artist that I am. Cheers to working hard for what you love xxx

Immerse Art 2017

I am so happy to announce that I will be part of the amazing Immerse program run by Knox council featuring art in 30 venues over the 30 days running from 11th November. My work ‘The Ocean was as still as glass then the next, it wasn’t’, is a large scale work of 6 panels exploring the inevitable ups and down of life. They will be displayed near Bupa in the amenities hallway at Westfield Knox. Put it in your diaries people!! #knoxwestfield

Pet portraits

Pet portraits

I have been very busy of late drawing pet portraits. It is something I really love doing and has taken me by surprise how much people love them and appreciate them. It has been very humbling drawing peoples beloved pets and a job that I take seriously.

The Beginning

Too much fun

So much has been going on since I last posted. I am finding it hard to keep up to date on my social media. Between Facebook, Instagram, the blog, Blue Thumb and my website there is not enough hours in the day to be constantly posting as well as working and making art.

I thought it was about time to post some recent stuff and happenings. I was in a recent group exhibition at B.S.G which was great fun. I purchased an amazing drawing by Tarn Watkinson who I adore!!

I am in the ever popular 40x40 prize and exhibition at the same gallery opening this Friday night 12th May running till the 2nd June. This is always a great night out and amazingly diverse exhibition.

Straight after that I am curating an exhibition themed 'Emotions have no gender don't lock your in the dark' exploring manhood and Men's mental health. Organised by friends and colleagues. An eclectic exhibition of works of all disciplines by many wonderful artists.

In August I have been scouted to showcase my work at a RAW event in Melbourne which I am extremely excited about. More info to follow. So yes it's been just a tad busy but I love it. I just need to sell more work so I can teach less and have more time for the making!!
